Mamasan Kitchen & Bar | Oracle Boulevard, Broadbeach

Mamasan made a spectacular debut to the dining scene, gaining a hat in the Good Food Guide Awards and inclusion in the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide in its first year of operation.

These awards recognise not only its innovative modern Pan-Asian cuisine but also its superb service.

Kiyomi | Jupiters Gold Coast, Broadbeach Island, Broadbeach

Overlooking the lobby bar at Jupiters Hotel and Casino, Kiyomi is the stunning sibling to Sydney’s Sokyo, both overseen by Executive Chef Chase Kojima (ex-Nobu).

A modern take on traditional design with its fabulous cocktail bar and mood lighting, the extraordinary art of Houxo Que casts a kaleidoscope of brilliant colour across the restaurant.

Recognised for serving some of the finest Japanese fusion in Queensland, Kiyomi gained critical success within its first year of operation, continuing as a hatted restaurant in both the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide Awards 2017 and the Australian Food & Travel Guide.

Kiyomi was also named in the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide 2017.

Kiyomi’s cutting edge Japanese-influenced cuisine is a delight.

The set menu includes seven signature dishes such as the beautifully balanced ocean trout sashimi with baby capers, pickled wasabi and smoked yuzu soy dressing, the intriguing crispy rice and tuna, as well as the chef’s selection dessert platter.

Ristorante Fellini | Marina Mirage, 74 SeaWorld Drive, Main Beach

A consistent performer for almost 20 years, the family-run Ristorante Fellini has taken out more than 100 industry awards.

Ristorante Fellini was recognised 10 consecutive years as a hatted restaurant in both the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide Awards and the Australian Food & Travel Guide.

It also won Queensland’s Best Italian Restaurant as part of the 2016 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards and was presented with the coveted international certification of the Eccellezene Italiane.

Fellini celebrates true Italian hospitality in service and cuisine, using recipes passed down through generations of Italian matriarchs – fresh burrata, house-made pasta, prosciutto-wrapped figs and succulent seafood.

Elegantly timeless, attention is drawn away from the open kitchen where chefs are framed by a line of peg-held orders, past linen-clad tables and elegant wait staff to gaze out across sweeping views of the Broadwater where luxury yachts and jet skis show off the Gold Coast at play.

Double Zero | 2/2715 Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach

Double Zero was the first restaurant in Queensland to receive accreditation with the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, an organisation founded to protect and promote authentic Napoletana pizza.Accreditation is based on the detail.

The base must be made from certified ‘00’ flour to a specific recipe, hand kneaded and rested.

Using only San Marzano tomatoes grown in the only ‘DOP’ region on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius for topping, the pizza must be of specific dimensions, baked in a wood-fired domed oven at 400 degrees Celsius for no more than 90 seconds.

Double Zero has the feel of a semi-industrial working kitchen, with the white-tiled dome of the Stefano Ferrara M 130 oven overseeing the restaurant like a Madonna.

Fired only by wood, the Ferrara reaches 400 degree heat – an essential element in the making of a true Napoletana pizza.

room81 | Sofitel Gold Coast, 81 Surf Parade, Broadbeach

Perfectly matched to the understated elegance of the Sofitel brand, room81 is an exclusive venue lauded by both the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide Awards (1 hat) and the Australian Food & Travel Guide (2 hats).

The restaurant also received a 2-glass status in the 2016 Wine List of the Year Awards.

Room 81 seats only about 20 diners, their closeness to the kitchen adding a voyeuristic dimension to the degustation dining journey provided by Chef de Cuisine Sam Moore.

In contrast to a venue that embodies quiet sophistication, Moore’s cuisine is delicately exquisite and playful; an artistic culinary tapestry. Moore’s decade of experience spans from Europe to top restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne, including Greg Doyle’s Pier, No 41 Chifley Place, and the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins’ No 35.

Social Eating House | 3 Oracle Boulevard, Broadbeach

Social Eating House is what Broadbeach dining is all about – excellent casual share plate cuisine with professional service and a pumping hot bar open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
