June 10, 2022

This winter Australia’s mega lifestyle and entertainment precinct Cali Beach is transforming itself into one of the biggest winter activations ever seen in Australia. In just a matter of weeks, Cali Beach will be unveiled as The Rooftop Lodge.

The owners, Artesian Hospitality, are outlaying over $250,000 to create a truly spectacular and brand-new venue within at the site of Cali Beach this winter. Launching on the 24th of June, with Set Mo headlining the big event, The Rooftop Lodge will open every Friday to Sunday with free entry and access to all area’s day and night for anyone over 18. You’ll have until the end of August to marvel in this must-see activation.

Guests at The Rooftop Lodge are invited to come by to sample the restaurants and bars whilst being transported to a winter oasis that makes you feel like you’re dining and drinking amongst the Swiss Alps or partying at a bar in Whistler. Every inch of the venue has been transformed, with over 60 snow topped trees, fire pits and faux snow falling throughout the venue. A massive dome Igloo bar situated within an Alpine Forest the size of a tennis court has been craned in, complete with a purpose-built toboggan slide for entry and all the cosy furnishing to make you feel like you’ve just stepped into a warm mountain chalet.

Saké Sisters restaurant is becoming an Après Ski Lodge, with an Alpine fit out and updated menu. The Cali shop is turning into a Chalet Bar and there will be firepits and blankets throughout all the free standing and seating areas for extra warmth and comfort.

Amongst the various activations throughout the new venue, The Rooftop Lodge will feature a base camp with two functioning hot tubs, as well as fun games (such as impromptu ice hockey competitions) nestled amongst a snowy forest backdrop making you feel like you’re at the bar of a mountain hot springs or at the base of a fun ski lodge.

The famous cabanas are being converted into luxury Alpine lodges with new facades, firepits and cosy furnishings that transport guests to a Swiss ski village, VIP style of course. Ideal for groups up to 25 people, and those who are looking for a more VIP experience, the lodges can be upgraded to come with your own bar staff, bottle service and delicious winter cuisine.
