Biking on the Goldie

mountain bike rider cruising the trails on a community race day

The Gold Coast is becoming known for mountain biking with a diverse range of quality trails, each offering a unique rider experience.

From eucalypt forests to rocky groins and expansive vistas, you will be rewarded each time you hit the trails.

Bike Parks

The Gold Coast is home to two action-packed bike parks:

Boomerang FarmGravity Bike Park

Check the website for highlights, location, opening hours and costs.

These parks both offer shuttle services to get you back up the mountain faster. Most run on weekends or at regular ride events.

Bike hire and servicing

Ready to ride but need a bike? There are a wide range of bikes available for hire and sale at Just Ride Nerang, Topline Cycles and Giant Nerang.

Or you can stop in on your way to the trails with your own bike for repairs and servicing and get the most out of your ride.

If you’re located closer to the beach, there are also a heap of reputable bike retailers.

Safety information

Mountain biking is a fast sport that comes with risk. Riders should ‘session’ trails – evaluate each trail’s suitability for their ability and their bike’s capabilities. Always wear a helmet, and other safety gear as you deem necessary. Carry water, a phone, a map (or map app like Trailforks), a spare tube and tools, a pump and a first aid kit.
